Michigan Makeup and Hair Artist: Meet Cher Jay Lee

Cher Jay, pronounced “Sir Jay” is a trained and certified Michigan Makeup and Hair Artist based out of Metro Detroit, Michigan. He specializes in natural and radiant beauty, servicing special events, photoshoots and luxury brides. His mission is:

“To enhance one's beauty through the application of makeup artistry, creating confidence and relationships by providing a memorable experience.”

With his experience, Cher Jay's clients appreciate his natural and modern approach to beauty and his outgoing and compassionate personality. He states, “what makes me unique is not by the services I provide but how I provide those services.” Cher Jay has worked in the service industry for over 23+ years, 11 of those years in beauty, and over 7 years working directly as a Professional Makeup and Hair Artist. When asked how he remains on top of his game, he shares “my knowledge for makeup and hair styling remains current with continuous education to deliver my clients the best looks and styles – education is everything!”

When it comes to aesthetics, Cher Jay shares “I favor a natural makeup look where skin looks like skin but better. Where we enhance and center stage your best features allowing you to look and feel like your absolute best self!”

In addition to his artistic beauty industry experience, Cher Jay also holds a Bachelors in Marketing. As if his hands weren’t already full building his personal brand and clientele, he is also a Social Media Manager for a world-renown beauty brand. In this role, he directly oversees 11 locations; applying his expertise of social media and marketing to elevate brand awareness and loyalty.

When Cher Jay isn’t working, he enjoys maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle - running and weightlifting. Among all else, he loves spending time with family and raising his 8 month old son alongside his husband.
